Inadequate sleep a leading cause of inattentiveness.

Sitting at my desk today I noticed myself getting more and more distracted than ever.
The more I tried to concentrate the more my mind wandered off, before I'd even realised it had I was off again doing something else, anything but the dreary mundane complaints. It seemed the quicker the clock went the more I kept focusing on how little I had done so far and even though I coldnt stop feeling bad about it I couldnt do anything about it.

A few months ago "What is wrong with me!" would have been the only phrase I could hear in my head.
One little phrase, but a powerful one.

These days its a lot louder.
Why arent my meds working today? Has this medication stopped working? Have I developed a tolerance already? Maybe this means I dont have ADHD, maybe its something else?! Shit, the more I try the more I can't! Ok stop doing other things and do a solid 30 minutes of work from now -COME ON!

Hang on a minute, stop beating yourself up. Didnt we read somewhere the other day that a good nights sleep is one of the most important aspects of the functioning normal human brain? Im sure we did. This difficulty today is more likely due to your 3 hour nap last night where an 8 hour sleep should have been! #quickgoogle. "Inadequate sleep a leading cause of inattentiveness". Ahahh!

Assuming and/or confusing every difficulty is the ADHD is a very common and often early phase of the acceptance and understanding process, so I'm told. So does maticulous research into the subject help or only help to overwhelm the poor vulnerable mind that's still adjusting to the news its got an incurable learning disability....

I'll let you know :/
